Digital audio guides
for your museum
No app to download. Your visitors scan a QR code and hear the story of each work in their own language. You manage everything from one simple dashboard.
Three steps.
Nothing to download.
Upload your works
From the dashboard you add works, photos and audio guides in as many languages as you like. You build themed tours and organise rooms.
Print the QR codes
Each work gets its own QR code. You print them all at once, on sheets ready to cut out, and each one goes next to its work, on a label or a sticker.
Visitors listen
They scan the code with their phone camera. The guide opens straight away in their language. No download.
Everything a modern museum needs.
A complete platform, built for people who know about art, not about technology.
Multilingual
Italian, English, French, German, Spanish. You upload one audio track per language and the visitor picks theirs. Two languages on the Free plan, unlimited from Pro.
A QR code for every work
Generated automatically, ready to print. They work with the phone’s built-in camera, with no app in between.
Themed tours
Each tour has its own works, in its own order, and its own texts and audio where needed: a simpler story for schools, fewer stops for visitors short on time. Visitors choose the tour in the guide or open it from the QR code at the entrance, see how far they have got and which work comes next, with the code on its label.
Visit statistics
See which works are listened to most, in which language, and how many visitors come each day. Useful data for improving the display.
Your museum’s branding
Logo, colours, name: all customisable. The app takes on your museum’s identity, not ours.
GDPR without compromises
No cookie banner. No third-party trackers. Data stays in Europe. Privacy by design.
Descriptions and audio guides prepared with AI
Pro & FullGot notes or an old record about a work? Paste them into the dashboard: the AI rewrites them in the style of an audio guide, without adding anything that is not there, and translates them into the museum’s active languages following your glossary. On the Full plan it also prepares the audio with a synthetic voice. It also adapts texts to the audience of a tour, children or specialists for example, across many works at once. Nothing reaches visitors until you read or listen to it and approve its publication.

Frequently asked questions
Is it right for you
Do visitors have to download anything?
No: the visitor scans the QR code with their phone camera and the guide opens like a web page, with nothing to install. No app, no account to create, no email address to leave behind. It works the same way on Android and on iPhone. It is the same gesture people already make to read the menu at a restaurant, so even visitors who are not comfortable with technology manage it, and anyone who gets stuck is helped by whoever is standing next to them without holding up the queue at the entrance. An internet connection is needed to open the guide, though: if the signal is weak in your building, see the question about wifi below.
Do visitors have to register or leave their details?
No, the guide simply opens: no registration, no email address, no personal data asked of the visitor. There are no advertising trackers and no cookie banner to accept, because the only cookies are the technical ones that make the page work. The statistics in your dashboard are aggregated: they tell you which works are opened, in which language and how long the audio is listened to, not who listened, and they record neither anyone's name nor their IP address. The data stays in the European Union, and the visitor's IP address does not reach any outside provider: photos and audio also go through our server. What stays on the visitor's phone is the language they chose and, if they follow a tour, how far they have got: it saves them making the same choices again and is not sent to anyone.
Do I need wifi? What if the signal drops in places?
A connection is needed to open the guide, but only the first time: whatever the phone has already loaded stays available even where the signal weakens. If coverage in your building is patchy, the simplest answer is wifi at the entrance, where visitors scan the first QR code and the guide loads; from then on the works already opened keep showing their text and photos in rooms or stretches of the route with no coverage, and audio already listened to plays again without a network, even when skipping ahead. The limits should be stated plainly: a work never opened before will not open where there is no network, and audio never listened to needs the network to start the first time. So it pays to concentrate coverage where the visit begins.
Does it work if I am not a museum?
Yes: it works anywhere there are things to explain to the people looking at them. An educational farm describing animals and tools, a temporary exhibition in a town hall, a nature trail with its stops, a winery guiding visitors around the barrels: the QR code goes on a label or a sign and everything works exactly as it does in a gallery. For short-lived projects what matters most is that activation is immediate on the Free plan and takes less than 24 hours on the others, and there is no minimum term, so even a trail that lives for three weeks makes sense. If your content changes every day, however, this is not the right tool: it is built for works and stops that stay put.
How many languages do you really need?
For almost every venue four or five languages are enough: Italian, English, French, German and Spanish cover the vast majority of tourism in Italy. The number of languages a platform advertises matters less than it seems, because each extra language is one more text to review every time you change a description or rearrange a room, and one more audio track to re-record. Four well-kept languages are worth more than forty rough ones. The Free plan includes two languages; from Pro there is no technical limit, but the real limit remains how many languages you can keep up to date over time.
Do I need a different QR code for each language?
No, one QR code per work is enough. The visitor chooses the language once, at the start of the visit, and the guide stays in that language for every work afterwards. For you that means a single label to print for each work, and a single one to replace the day the work moves.
Setting it up
Who writes the texts? Is the AI enough on its own?
You provide the texts, even in rough form: notes, an old leaflet, catalogue entries, the text of a publication. The AI rewrites them in the spoken style of an audio guide, which is not the style of a written label, and translates them into the languages you have enabled; on the Full plan it also produces the audio with a synthetic voice. What the AI does not do is invent: it does not know your collection and knows nothing you have not given it, so it only reworks the material you pass to it. The final review stays with whoever knows the works, and it is a job of reading rather than writing.
Can I change content and languages myself?
Yes, from the dashboard, without going through us. You add a work, write or paste the description, upload photos and audio, enable one more language: every change is online the moment you save it, and labels already printed keep working, because the QR code points to the work and not to the text. The dashboard is built for people who are not technical and is used like an ordinary text editor. The one thing you cannot change yourself is the web address of the guide, available as a custom domain on the Full plan: for that you write to us and we take care of it.
How long does it take to go live?
You activate the Free plan yourself from the website, in a few minutes: fill in the form, confirm your email and the dashboard is ready. For Pro, Full and the Event packages you write to us, and within 24 hours of your request the guide is live and the dashboard is ready for you. You can start uploading works straight away, without waiting for activation to finish, and there is no preliminary project phase, no compulsory site visit, no setup work on your side. If you already have your audio guides recorded and your descriptions written, half a day's work will get you running. The time that really counts is not the technical part: it is the time you spend writing and reviewing the texts, and that is the one part nobody can do for you.
How do you print the QR codes?
From the dashboard you print the labels of all your works, of one area or of the ones you pick, all at once: each carries the work's code, the QR code, the title and the area, nine or four to an A4 sheet. For a tour there is also the sign to put at its entrance. You download a PDF ready to print, with exact sizes, and if you take it to a print shop you can add crop marks. If you make your own plaques, you download a ZIP instead, with the labels as 300 dpi PNG files and the bare QR code as PNG and SVG, to hand to your designer. The medium is up to you: a rigid label, a sticker, a sign, or even a sheet printed in the office, which works perfectly well for a short exhibition. Two things matter: size, because a QR code five centimetres across reads comfortably from half a metre away, and the contrast between the code and its background. Avoid printing on very reflective surfaces, where the camera struggles to focus and the visitor spends longer than they should.
Can the guide use my museum's own web address?
Yes, on the Full plan and with the Event packages. The guide opens at an address of your museum, for example guide.yourmuseum.com, instead of on museoguida.com, and that is what visitors read on their phone when they scan the QR code. The domain stays yours: if you do not have one you register it yourself, then you add the DNS record we give you and we take care of the rest, security certificate included. It uses a subdomain such as guide.yourmuseum.com, so your website stays where it is. The QR codes you print from then on lead to your museum's address, and those printed before keep working. If you later move to a plan without a custom domain, your address keeps leading to the guide on museoguida.com: labels already on the walls remain valid. The dashboard stays on museoguida.com.
Cost and commitment
How much does it cost?
Free costs nothing and never expires, Pro is €49 a month, Full is €99 a month, all excluding VAT. The Free plan covers up to 20 works and two languages and is not a time-limited trial: you can stay on it as long as you like and move to Pro when you run out of room. There is no activation fee, no minimum term and no quote to request in order to find out what you will spend: the prices above are the prices for everyone. The only cost that stays with you is printing the labels with the QR codes, which you do wherever you prefer.
What happens if I cancel?
You cancel whenever you like from the dashboard, with no penalty and no notice period, and the service stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for. If you drop from Pro or Full back to Free your content is not deleted: the first 20 works and two languages stay visible, and the rest reappears if you take out a higher plan again later. If instead you close the account altogether you have 30 days to export texts, images and audio from the dashboard, after which the data is deleted; if you think you may pick it up again, going back to Free is better than closing.
Where is the museum data kept?
In the European Union: texts and statistics on servers in Germany, photos and audio in Cloudflare storage bound to the European Union. The backup runs automatically every day, encrypted, in separate storage that cannot be reached from the Internet. Each venue's data sits in a separate store: your museum's works, audio and statistics do not share space with any other customer's. If you delete a work or a whole room by mistake we can restore it from the previous day's copy, on request within seven days. The limit is how often the backup runs: the copy is made at night, so in the event of a serious failure the work done in the hours after the last copy can be lost.
